Driving at night or in bad weather requires that your headlamp assemblies operate reliably, that they focus the headlight beams straight ahead, and that all the bulbs contained inside function properly. These lighting features are there for your safety, but are also required by law. Although your car or truck’s headlamp assemblies are meant to last as long as the vehicle, the bulbs will eventually burn out, and the lenses may cloud over due to oxidation. Beyond those issues, your headlamp wiring may corrode, the housing can crack, and other internal parts may wear down. Sometimes your best option is to replace the entire headlamp assembly.
