Auto Part Condition

??K - For Engines, Transmissions, Transfer Cases, Speedometers and other mechanical parts where mileage is the primary factor for judging a part's condition, we provide the mileage of the part. i.e. 77K means 77,000 miles.

A - The highest quality part. An A grade part is close to original condition (i.e. hairline scratches).

B - A second level quality part. B grade parts may show moderate signs of wear (i.e. noticeable scratches).

C - The third level quality part. Although still useable, a C grade exceeds a moderate amount of damage.

TMU or TMUK - "True Mileage Unknown" which means for one reason or another, the mileage was never recorded for that vehicle. Whether the mileage is stated or says TMU, the LKQ warranty still applies.

REMAN - LKQ also remanufactures parts such as engines and transmissions. In such cases we list the condition as being remanufactured. This may appear in the following forms "REMAN", "REBUIL", "REBULT", "REMAND", "REMEND", "RECOND".

NIQ - Non Insurance Quality (NIQ) means the part is not suitable for a repair if payment is going to come from an insurance company. The part may be a good but for some small reason, may not be suitable for repairs paid for by insurance (i.e. light scratches on the lens).

The LKQOnline.com Quality Rating is based on LKQ inspection & identification standards and is displayed with stars.

= Good as new, or has been remanufactured or reconditioned.

= Very minor defects that may go unnoticed to most people. Suitable for repairs and upgrades.

= Minor issues with appearance, or significant mileage, but may be the best choice for many repairs.

= Part is fully functional, but with noticeable visual defects or high mileage.

= Part is fully functional, but may not be visually appealing or have extremely high mileage.

• - Regional Market Demand (where the part is located).
